Waitress (2007)

A waitress, the lovely Keri Russell, is married to an abusive and controlling man finds solace in her pie making and then in an affair with her doctor. She finds herself to be pregnant by her husband and this sends her into a spiralling depression. The film is quirky and entertaining and very well made.

The point of view of this movie is very humanistic. The characters find salvation in their own strength and will to love themselves and others.
