Young Triffie's Been Made Away With (2006)
Before Newfoundland was a Canadian province, it had its own policing force, the rangers. Ranger Alan Hepditch is the brunt of ridicule at headquarters and even though he tries to resign, he is sent on a journey to backwater Newfoundland to investigate the mutilation of sheep. Instead, he ends up with a murder or Young Triffie.
The who's who of Canadian actors who stayed in Canada make appearances: Colin Mochrie, Fred Ewanuick, Mary Walsh, Andrea Martin, Rémy Girard, etc. The film is irreverent and makes jokes around some rather serious and brutal acts. There is some genuine humour, but some of it just makes you shake your head.
