Things We Lost in the Fire (2007)

I really should not have been surprised at how amazing this film is. I've had my fill of illicit love stories - some with a purpose, others without. What's great about this one is that it doesn't even go there.

A recent widow reaches out to her dead husband's best friend, a heroin addict. The two, broken with grief, are able to sustain the other.

It is a beautiful story of restoration, friendship, love, and faithfulness. Watch it!
